Resolution Activity Fall 2026

Here is a quick rundown of Resolution Activity as of Sept 23, 2026. SUCCESSES are below the Urgent list at the top. We’re now up to seven municipalities opposing Brian Heywood’s extremism!

URGENT: Upcoming Asks, Agendas, and Mobilizations (Go to these meetings!):

• Thurs 9/24 – Lake Forest Park is slated to take action on Thurs Sept 24. (agenda)
• Tues 10/6 – Organizers are working in Edmonds on a No Hate resolution opposing 001/638. (meetings)
• Tues 10/6 – Bothell is scheduled on Tues Oct 6 (tentatively) to take action on the No Hate resolution (meetings, first three Tuesdays of each month), next meeting is Oct 6.

• 9/22 – King County Council is agendized for Tues Sept 22 to take action on two initiatives, one each opposing 638 and 001, both sponsored by Mosqueda and Barón. Watch the video of the meeting. It’s powerful. Council members Reagan Dunn and Peter von Reichbauer voted against both resolutions.
• 9/22 – Issaquah is agendized for Tuesday, Sept 22 to take action on the no Hate resolution (proposed resolution here). Proposed by CM Nichols, seconded by CM Walsh. Passed unanimously (Res 2026-23).
• 9/17 – Mountlake Terrace passed unanimously their version (not yet numbered) opposing 001/638.
• 9/15 – Seattle passed their version (Resolution No. 32218), opposing 001/638.
• 9/14 – Kenmore passed three resolutions (Res 26-451, 452, 453), one each opposing all three Heywood initiatives (i.e., in support of No Hate 001/638 and No of 645 campaigns), this last Monday the 14th.
• 8/17 – Shoreline passed their version (Res567) opposing 001/638. Article from The Osprey on the meeting.
• 7/28 – Tacoma passed their version (Res41972) opposing 001/638.

Upcoming Unconfirmed

• ?? – A Lynnwood councilmember was unable to get support for a resolution, but a public comment ask mobilization can always change that! (meetings), next meetings Mon Sept 21, Mon Sept 28.
• ?? – Organizers have been in contact with Redmond (meetings), next meetings Tues Sept 22, Sept 28 (weekly on Tues).
• ?? – Kirkland looks like it will be taking it up, as well, but not yet scheduled (agenda planner here), next meeting Tues Oct 6.
• ?? – Mercer Island also looking at resolution (meetings), though nothing is listed on their agenda planner, next meeting Tues Oct 6.
• ?? – Organizers have been in contact with Sammamish, though nothing is listed on their agenda planner, next meeting Tues Oct 6.
• ?? – Woodinville knows about the effort, but might also require a public comment ask mobilization. (meetings) Next meeting Oct 6.
